Bale's A Name That Won't Be On Manchester United Jersey

The Red Devils are pondering a stunning swoop for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, who could be open to a move back to the Premier League.

But United fans who want to get one step ahead by buying the FIRST Bale shirt can't - because the club won't let them.

The official club megastore's policy is not to print the name of any player that has been linked with the club until they have signed.

So unless your surname is actually Bale, you have no hope of getting ahead of the game!

Shirts bearing players names on the back are regularly leaked and posted on social-networking sites before the moves happened.

The United megastore is understandably cautious over printing players' names - because they are no stranger to a blunder.

Louis van Gaal splashed out a British record fee of £60m to bring Angel Di Maria to Old Trafford in the summer.

But on one United shirt, the player's name was spelt Damaria by one club worker.

They also infamously spelt Radamel Falcao's name as Flacao on another strip.
